I had my first ever taste of strawberry shortcake a few weeks back. My grace group held a hang out session at Myra’s house. She busted out this cake in a bakery case and said, “I don’t ever share my cake but I’ll share with you guys.” And we cut up that cake and ate very tiny pieces of it since the cake itself was already small. I loved every bite of it. Our grace group sister Myra must love us all very much to have given us a taste of her beloved cake.
Confession: I sometimes go to the bathroom for the sole purpose of catching up on my alone time.
Dad: “Don’t wear those slippers.”
Me: “Why?”
Dad: “Because your toes look ugly.”
Me: “I get my toes from you, Dad.”
Dad: “I know. It’s ugly.”
Hahahah. My dad is silly.
You’re gonna totally hate me when I tell you this but.. I got these boots at Eden In Love for $10. Sasquatch footed girls get all the fun, I know. I love you too. And I hope you have a sparkling, glitterific, gorgeous day as well. (I’m trying to work on my positive speech, don’t hate lol). And I seriously miss you. Can we go back to texting haha. I’m good at that :)
This morning I prayed, “God, soften my heart today. Monday mornings are hard on everyone. We’re all cranky because we all have our jobs and school work to get back to. We’re all experiencing some sort of roughness in our transition from the weekend to the workday so help me to show kindness to someone today. Help me bless someone with sincere care and genuine affection. Help me turn someone’s Monday blue’s into Monday happiness.”
I went into Starbucks this morning for some wake-me-up-and-tickle-my-tongue coffee. And as I’m waiting for my order to be called a girl comes up next to me and says, “I love your boots.” And right there I felt God’s warmth fill me. I heard a whisper in my head tell me, “I wanted to bless You today, too.” You’re sweet, God. Thank You.

I was in the most beautiful coma. Haha. I fell asleep at around 7pm and woke up at 9am. That was so nice. I honestly didn’t feel that tired but I guess my body desired that extra time asleep. Praise the Lord for rest!
